What to expect on our retreats:

  • It might feel intimidating or nerve wrecking to take the leap, but it will be worth it! Belinda will ease you into all of the activities, and explain everything from a science based perspective so you know the reason behind the strategies and techniques.

  • You will be supported, among like-minded people who all want the same thing, and surrounded by compassion and positive energy, its literally contagious.

  • You may even find your true purpose, discover something about yourself, release some long held emotions, and find your true life’s intention!

  • The All Round Day Retreat for example

    • the day starts with some gentle and mindful yoga, followed by guided meditation to set your intention and to get in tune with your inner world.

    • After a yummy break and cup of tea, we usually do some emotional exploration around stressors or difficult times in your life, and apply practical neuroscience informed techniques to manage these feelings, and to take away with you.

    • Following our delicious vegetarian lunch, we do some more intense work around our parts of Self, providing our innate wisdom to the struggles in our life, and healing our soul.

    • We close the day with walking meditations, stretching and gentle movement, plus a lush Yoga Nidra to leave you feeling energised, refreshed and in touch with your true self.

    • No! you don’t have to be “good” at yoga.

    • Yoga is simply like a moving meditation, it’s about feeling yourself moving, rather than a performance or something strenuous.

    • Belinda will make sure to be conscious of any injuries or restrictions, and she will always remind you to be kind and mindful of your body.

    • Yoga helps still the mind in preparation for the reflections and insights the day might bring, it’s not about pushing your body in ANY way.

    • Belinda introduces herself before the day, and will check to see if you have any particular needs/wishes/changes that we need to accommodate for.

    • Belinda encourages you to divulge any mental health/physical health or emotional issues so she can tailor and take care of you properly and make sure the day is suited to your needs.

    • Belinda has chosen various scenic locations around Brisbane, the Gold Coast hinterland, as well as the Sunshine Coast - depending on the retreat, time of year, and availability of accommodation.

    • You will be given plenty of directions, transport options, and information about where you are staying before the retreat.

    • We keep our retreats small and intimate so you won’t feel overwhelmed, and we take everyones needs into account. You will be supported each step of the way but also provided the space and time to reflect also.

    • There is a lot of introspection and time to journal or take time out if needed, so you are not pressured to speak if you don’t want to – but often after the work we do you people are happy to share with like-minded individuals who are all on a similar journey!

    • It might feel intimidating at first, but Belinda will ease you into it, explain everything from a science perspective and give you choices if any part of the exercise is uncomfortable.
